Aromasin is a prescribed medication for the treatment of breast cancer symptoms. Aromasin can be used on its own or in combination with other drugs. Aromasin is an Aromatase Inhibitor, which is a kind of anticancer medication. Aromasin’s effectiveness and safety in youngsters are unknown.

AROMASIN® Tablets are a steroidal aromatase inactivator that contains 25 mg of exemestane. 6-Methylenandrosta-1,4-diene-3,17-dione is the chemical name for exemestane. C20H24O2 is its chemical formula.

With a molecular weight of 296.41, the active component is a white to slightly yellow crystalline powder. Exemestane is soluble in N, N-dimethylformamide, methanol, and water but is essentially insoluble in the latter.

Mannitol, crospovidone, polysorbate 80, hypromellose, colloidal silicon dioxide, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate, simethicone, polyethylene glycol 6000, sucrose, magnesium carbonate, titanium dioxide, methylparaben, and polyvinyl alcohol are among the inactive ingredients found in each AROMASIN Tablet.

Uses of Aromasin

  • Postmenopausal Women’s Adjuvant Treatment

AROMASIN is approved for postmenopausal women with estrogen-receptor positive early breast cancer who have completed two to three years of tamoxifen and are switching to AROMASIN for a total of five years of adjuvant hormonal therapy.

  • In postmenopausal women with advanced breast cancer

AROMASIN is used to treat advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women whose illness has progressed after being treated with tamoxifen.


One 25 mg pill once daily after a meal is the recommended dose of AROMASIN in early and advanced breast cancer.

If you feel like like there should be a change in dose, first onsult with your doctor before taking any wrong decision.

Take the drug as soon as possible, but if your next dosage is approaching, avoid the missed dose. Do not combine two dosages at once.

Before you run out of medicine, have your prescription renewed.

If you’re allergic to exemestane, haven’t started menopause, or are pregnant or planning to get pregnant, you shouldn’t use Aromasin.

If you’re pregnant, avoid using Aromasin. It has the potential to cause damage to an unborn child.
